Contemporary Architecture and the Urban Historic Context (Sevilla, 19-21 March 2013)

The City of Sevilla and GAIA-heritage take pleasure in announcing the venue of the international conference on « Contemporary Architecture and the Historic Urban Context » to take place in Sevilla from 19 to 21 February 2013. This is an open conference with no registration fees. It is supported by the World Heritage Cities Organization and several international organizations and professionals will participate.

The goal of the conference is to identify evaluation tools, guidelines and mechanisms to address contemporary architecture in an urban historic context. To reach this goal it proposes a novel approach by bringing together academics from different fields (arts, neurosciences, economist, town planners and architects, heritage specialists) and practitioners. The concept and a preliminary programme are attached.
